About Us

image54

From our Artistic Director, S. Katherine Shealy

Concordia’s singers continue to inspire me with their passion, not only through their joy of singing, but also with their shared musicianship and love for the diverse community in which we live. We strive to inspire all of our listeners with a wide range of choral literature, from traditional choral genre to contemporary compositions by local artists, and we perform in many languages. We strive for excellence in choral artistry through a three-tiered approach: musical literacy, dynamic expression, and professional delivery. Concordia performs a  three-season concert series as well as our  annual Peace  Day  community  concert,  RISE  UP  AND  SING!, celebrating  the  UN  International Day of Peace each October.  We  also  enjoy providing  choral  enrichment for community events, partnering  with fellow non-profit  organization,  and  bringing  our music to the  underserved listeners in our community.  Although our music comes from our many voices, our “song” is  generated "with one heart!”
